December 5, 1941, Hong Kong

With Japanese forces massed on the border, in a city whose population has swelled to triple its normal size in just 18 months due to Chinese refugees, Sir Richard Jonathan Sterling, Governor-General of the Crown Colony of Hong Kong, is found dead in his mansion. He died of a massive overdose of heroin...and a gunshot wound in the heart...and a lethal dose of chlorophacinone (the active ingredient in a number of commercial rat poisons) in his wine.

A man whose spotless public reputation belied a deeply complex and dislikeable man in private, it's not so much a matter of who had the motive to kill the Governor General, but rather, who had the means.

Now, with the Pacific on the very edge of a war that will change the lives of Hong Kong's residents forever, and the local government thrown into chaos, it is up to you to solve the murder. And why is it up to you? Because you're a prime suspect.
